Have you been to Lagos Nigeria before?, If you have, you will agree with me that navigating around the state without a guide can foster a sense of lost.
Lagos is the business and commercial center of West Africa with high population and busy road network. Each year, millions arrive the state through Muritala Muhammad’s international airport and have need to navigate their way to various destinations. Thanks to Google maps, navigating Lagos is easier and less stressful. Sorounded by water, lagos has many islands that are connected by Bridges and a network of intersecting roads, many with identical street names. For instance, there are more than five Jakande streets in the state in different locations.
Some of these streets are listed in the map without a unique identify for each. As a local Guide, I make time and review these entries.to make sure they are accurate, unique and not misleading. Sometimes, I discover partial entry of some streets and avenues like when Ayorinde 1 is in the map but Ayorinde 2 is non existence. I also ensure that new businesses and places are enlisted and relocated ones are updated.there’s much work to do in Nigeria and my determination is to work with Google maps to make navigation a romantic experience to all.
