Hi @LeslieMalpartida24 ,
Is this a traditional Peruvian food? Is it pineapple with rice? Looks very yummy. I would love to hear more about some Peruvian foods. I’ve actually tried a Tamale, which I believe is Peruvian and it was completely new and delicious experience for me.
Hi @LeslieMalpartida24 and @DanniS
It looks like chicken with pineapple Chifa style.
Chifa is the fusion of Chinese food with Peruvian food. These dishes are prepared in Peru since the 19th century.
Hi @DanniS
Chifa is the fusion of Chinese food with Peruvian food, but in this case, it doesn’t have broccoli and snow peas.
Hi @Mibanezgo ,
Thanks so much for the details. I’ve never tried anything like that, but I’m really curious to try some new foods. Looks deicious! Do you also eat Tamales in Peru? I wonder if that is easy to make here in Europe.
@DanniS If you want to try new foods you must visit Peru The diversity of the food is due to the mixture of prehispanic culture with the cultures that arrived with the migrations (Mesoamerican, European, African and Asian) and the products of the sea, of the mountains and the jungle that can be obtained in Peru
In Peru we eat tasty tamales :), usually at breakfast or at lunch before the main course, it is common to eat it accompanied by a complement called Sarsa criolla. I do not know if it is easy to do in Europe :(, I guess it depends on if you can find all the ingredients, the basis of the preparation is corn flour and the time of cooking they are wrapped in banana leaves or corn.
Thanks a lot for your tips and information @Mibanezgo . I agree the best way is to just visit Peru and try out some new cuisine.
