My name is Alexander (Alex) Levshyn, and I’m really proud to be the Google’s Local Guide, Level 7.
I live in Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine, the European country with the population of around 40 mln people.
Kyiv is the heart of Ukraine, and Maidan Nezalezhnosti/Independence Square (we call it simply Maidan) is the very heart of Kyiv. It was here, 5 years ago, where people fought for their Freedom, real Independence and Dignity during the Dignity Revolution in 2014.
Today the Maidan is the modern symbol of Kyiv where foreign guests of the city can feel the wonderful taste of Freedom. I invite everybody to visit this remarkable place.
I’ve worked in the local travel business for years, and now I try to do all my best to give “hot” info which is useful, interesting and reliable for the numerous guests of my beautiful city. I’m greatly thankful to Google for the possibility to make people from all over the world be informed about fantastic places of interest of our planet.
I’ve been involved into hi-tech media sphere. and today I am real Internet enthusiast (24x7!)
I know Mr. Dmytro Sholomko, Google’s Director for Ukraine, and my idea is to initiate regular meet up events for the Local Guides here. I hope that my initiative will come true in the closest future.
I’m going to be much more active as the Local Guide for sure. To be a contributor to Google Maps it’s awesome WOW!!!
