Colours of Kutch and Bhuj

BHUJ-KUTCH
Gujrat being the pride and the most culturally prominent states of india has a lot of things to offer to its residents as well as the guest who visit the state all year round.
This is the story of District Kutch and its main City of Bhuj which offers you a feeling of being a native and taking you back to your roots.
On my trip which was my first unplanned journey with a friend, I had the most amazing and most peaceful trip to a place of which I had a big trauma about.
Day 1
The journey from Mumbai to Bhuj gave us great glimpses of landscape change and a lot of new memories. The morning reached Bhuj Railway station a I felt in another world. The landscape scenery had completely changed and I was in a different Universe.
It was January which is typically known for chilling Cold Winds in this region and Dry hot temperature. From the shadows of skyscrapers and green trees I was in open barren lands with orange and yellowish sand and dirt.
It was only a 3 day tour and hence we decided not to waste any time and just explore as much as we can on our own with no guides or known tourist spots.
We directly started our day with a Tea in earthen pot known as Kulhad.it was 7 in the morning and we desperately needed that ,that was the moment of pure bliss and I knew this trip would be something different and raw
Due to its Prominent History and vast territory Kutch had a great importance in terms of Politics during the Maharaja rule here, hence we found a lot different Fort like structures and old Temples.
We started with Aina mahal which has most of the interiors labelled with beautiful mirrors.
Just besides it is the Prag Mahal,Kutch museum and Bhuj clock tower who have some great collection of historical Artifacts and tribal things of all the type of people who lived here.
I was extremely hungry and tired from the journey so we decided to check into a hotel but before that it was time for famous hot jalebi Fafda.
We then checked in into a small hotel for time being cause I had something planned for the upcoming days.
We woke up around 3 in the same afternoon and now it was time to find a ride because I wanted this trip to be memorable so decided to scrap the idea of private car and instead ended up getting a Royal Enfield Classic 350.
We then decided to roam about in the city try some street food and just explore the great culture and atmosphere the place had to offer.
What a day it was and I was so excited about the upcoming ones
DAY 2
We started early cause today was the day we were to head towards Kutch or to say Rann of Kutch-White Sand Desert .The ride was almost 73 Kms but before that w it was time to visit someone special
One of my friend has his native village in bhuj known as Nakhtarana, we drove for 60kms and reached his place where he had come this time on Vacation.
We first Visited the Mata nu Madh nu Madh which was a 1800 year old temple. My friend Treated with spicy Kutcchi food which was simple yet fulfilling.
Now was the time for heading straight towards Rann of Kutch I didn’t wanted to miss the sunset
A majestic Endless land of White salt.
The Rann of Kutch is known to be a sea long ago,but due to some some reason it dried and turned into a barren land with unending horizon.
The sunset here was one of the most amazing ones I had ever seen In my Life.
We then returned quickly back to our hotel as it was late and Due to Bhuj being a village area after 7pm every one was accustomed to sleep early and it was really dark on the highways we could see one car on the road after every 5 kms that’s it.It was quite chilly too so driving in the winds was also difficult.
After this amazing day we were really happy.
Day 3
Today was the Leisure day of to say the day to chill.
We decided to go to the famous Mandvi Beach and relax at the beach in the Sun and just eat and sleep and just explore the Palaces and Monuments in Mandvi City.
We Came Nakhatrana to A resort known as Infinity resorts Bhuj.
It had a swimming pool and a small party of college folks. We had a Scrumptious dinner and had an Amazing night at the party.
We slept a little late that night.
One of the most memorable incident from that night was me sitting idly on the lawn and just gazing the stars with my favourite music.
Just a peaceful feeling it was.
Next morning it was time to say goodbye to this amazing place which showed my roots of the immense amount of culture we possess as Indians and the true colours of our country which lies in these places.
Bhuj and kutch always have a special place in my heart of all the activities we had all the adventures we had and all the memories we made .
I hope you like the story. #Themapwalaguy
