This year, the festival of colors, Holi, was pretty much affected because of the Corona Virus in India. In India, there are different states where people start celebrating the festival a week ago from the main day, which is known as Dhulandi.
Mostly, tourists visit Vrindavan and Barsana in Uttar Pradesh to watch the brilliant and colorful culture of Holi.
In Jodhpur, it is celebrated at Ghanshyam Temple in the city area. Lot of people gather and be a part of the harmonical prayers in front of the deity. A priest sings the “Aarti” which is a religious song and the people repeats in chorus.
Many photographers also indulge in the people, to take some great shots. I was also one of them.
After the prayers of the priest, he throws the flower petals and “Gulal” colors on the people. The whole place is covered in different colors in a few minutes. Basically, this is a religious practice all over India. This color becomes Holy after the prayers, so the people want that more and more color and flower petals should hover over them.
Every year, this tradition is followed in many states in India, specially in Uttar Pradesh and Jodhpur. As compared to last year, people particpated ion a less amount due to the Corona outbreak. I think it is best to keep social distancing to be safe and fight this pandemic.

Kids enjoy a lot. They also have this crazy mentality to have a picture clicked, so many kids approached me to click their photographs. I really had fun being a part of this culture.
I will see you all with my next experience.
Till then, Be Safe and Stay at Home to fight this bad phase of this whole world.
Happy Guiding!
