Colors of summertime

Ella Fitzgerald starts in this way, to tell us about her Summertime.

Summertime for me is Sun, Sea, Colors, Flowers, and a fresh wood in the mountains, to refresh from the heat.

I want to share my Colors of Summertime with you.

Sun, Sea, Colors, are all together in here. I took this picture a few days ago, at Eraclea Mare, a beautiful beach very close to the Venetian Lagoon

This summer here in Bulgaria has been raining non stop, so the colors of my summer are 50 shades of grey But next week I will go to vacation in Malta and after that I will share with you my experience.

Wow, @Ivi_Ge , I love Malta, a piece of England in Sicily sauce. Wonderful food, and a lot of sun, blended with a great part of history.

@MiaMaria visited Malta in April, so she will be able for sure to give some advice: /Summertime-️/

Hi @Ivi_Ge ! I was only recently on the east side of Sicily for a week’s break with friends. I flew into Catania, stayed a couple of nights and then moved on to Arenella (booked an Airbnb there) and then did day trips to Siracusa and Taormina. My friends are beach/pool loungers whilst I’m more of a city person so I definitely enjoyed the trips into Siracusa and Taormina; the latter is very scenic as it’s high on a cliff with windy roads and awesome views.

I hope that gives you a sense of the parts of Sicily that I visited. You’ll have a grand time for sure! By the way, I ate a lot of gelato whilst there and for me the C&G shops were the best for quality but their selection (flavours) is not as wide as some of the other shops. They also do nice cakes too. Also, do try the arancinis and there is also a Sicilian tart!

Thank you so much for sharing your great experience. It looks really nice and your photos are amazing too. I am also planing to go to Catania and I am staying a couple of nights there. If I have time I am doing day trips to Siracusa and Toarmina too. As I see from your photos east side of Sicily is nice and I am so excited for my trip.

I am also raising my both hands, @TraciC and thank you for sharing your photos in Bermuda. Horseshoe Bay Beach looks amazing place to explore and experience. Beautiful sand and turquoise water!

Calabria, even if not famous like Sicily, is another interesting area of South of Italy. An interesting view of “food colour”
