This meetup is hosted in parallel with the “Local Guide Monument Month”, a great initiative by BishowvijayaP in September. This meetup will be a photo walk to add good pictures of the monuments in the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka. While taking pictures, we may also add few missing monuments on the map. The meetup will start near the prison where the last king of Sri Lanka was kept before deport him to the Murusi island. This location is inside the Ceylinco head office premises. Then we will visit other famous monuments in Colombo, and we will try to update the stories related to these monuments. Please follow the discussion to find out more about the monuments we are going to visit during the meetup. An expert on monuments in Colombo will participate this meetup, and you will learn a lot from him about the history of monuments and Colombo. After the meetup, we will have snacks and tea. You can bring your friends to the meetup. Please bring a DSLR camera or a good camera phone.
