Croatia is small country on Adriatic sea, except being famous for Game of Thrones shooting scenes, Croatia is well known for it’s culture of coffee and coffee bars. Located next to Italy - where from we got cappuccino and espresso and once being part of Ottoman Empire - when from we got used to taking hours to drink one cup of coffee, so yes, we represent best of those two worlds.
Here, coffee it is a social event, rather than drink that gives you energy and boost to work harder like in USA.
That’s why we choose wisely our bars where we sit for hours, chat with friends and drink this “cocktail”
It is almost a spiritual session for locals. You organize whole day around it.
Due to huge consumption of coffee many bars are opening, closing, renovating and that’s why it’s so important for foreigners (as well as for locals) to know where and when can they go enjoy this magical beverage, whether they can sit outside, call for reservation or come with a dog.
That is main reason why I post reviews - to help others in enjoying small things, such as small cups of coffee.
