Cocido madrileño (chickpeas madridian stile)

Put in water the chickpeas the day before (or at least 12 h) then, in a pressure cooker put them with chicken, chorizo, morcilla (black pudding?) and a piece of beef meat or/and pork, ham, and some vegetables… potatoes, carrots, cabbage… Boil then together for 40 minutes and serve it in two parts, one the meat and veggies and the soup apart. You can cook the slow version for three hours using a cooking pot instead.

Hello @SoyAlex ,

Thank you for sharing this photo and recipe with us, the meal looks very delicious! I guess, the chorizo adds a bit of spiciness to the whole! Am I right?

Is this a famous dish all over your country, or mainly popular in some areas?

Thanks for your comments @NitishG there is a veggie option where you fry different kind of pepper (red, green and yellow) onion, garlic… Instead of meat and it’s delicious as well
