Thanks for sharing your details travel experience with us with beautiful photography.
For the all Local Guide, could you please add a few more information like travel cost, nearest hotel, transportation, which is the best time to visit the place etc.
This place looks amazing, I am truly a sucker for waterfalls. Whenever I travel and I know there is a waterfall to see nearby, I can’t leave without visiting.
Maybe it has something to do with Denmark, where I’m from, not having a single waterfall.
This one looks incredibly huge, do you know how far the waterfall drops?
Maybe for travel cost, nearest hotel, transportation are depends on each personal.
There are not available public transportation to this waterfall, but you can join any travel in Malang city that can help you with the transportation & hotels.
As locals I only spent about Rp10.000,- (in rupiah) or $0.70 (in usd) per person for the ticket to enter the waterfall.
If I can give advice, you better visit this waterfall in March-August when Indonesia is not in the rainy season.
It’s a bad idea to come to the waterfall at rainy season.
@_rachelicias Thank you for sharing.
Beside this waterfall, in the camping ground area there are quite a lot of photo spots. Unfortunately the place is not well managed, so some Local Guides complain about the high cost and lack of information through reviews on Google Maps. In fact, before entering this area, some motorcycle taxis provided misleading info so that tourists were forced to ride motorbikes for actual distances not too far away.
Hopefully the management can immediately improve the quality of its services and elevate this place to become one of the main tourist attractions in Batu City.
Yes you are right, I parked far from the entrance to Coban Rais, they thought I wanted to go to Batu Flower Garden which is in one area with the waterfall.
So better ask where the parking lot for visitors to Coban Rais is.
