I enjoy sharing my experiences with Google Maps Users with honest reviews and photos/videos of businesses. As my reviews and photos are viewed and, perhaps, Liked on Maps it is a treat for me to return to an establishment and share with the owner the fact that my reviews/photos have provided public awareness of their business and their products. They enjoy that I am sharing my metrics with them and the fact that I have made a stake in their continued success. It is an interesting way to develop friendships with these owners.
