Closing of Iconic Restaurants

I can’t remember how I discovered this hidden gem (probably through a coworker), but it is one of my earliest memories of Hong Kong. The strangely therapeutic shouting of orders and drone of the old man at the cash register is exactly what I imagine when I think of local restaurants.

From the first time I had this scrambled eggs and BBQ pork dish, I knew that it would be hard to beat. The silky smoothness of those eggs, with just enough salt to heighten the egg flavor, paired with thin slices of BBQ pork made this my ultimate go-to lunch option.

Since I stopped working in Central, I stopped frequenting this local joint. Like most things, I thought it would always be there and took it for granted ? but I made sure to come back here on their last day to have my favorite dish one last time. Thank you for being a part of my Hong Kong journey.
