Give the global chaos caused by Covid-19, can Google not re-open the applications for Connect Live 2020? I for one only realised today I hadn’t applied as yet, only to discover it closed yesterday! Thanks in anticipation Google. #localguidesconnect

I agree, it hasnt been safe to go outside in the last 3 weeks. Plus with all the state of emergencies, I’m wondering if they will extend the deadline??

I was just about to start a discussion about this. I am so bummed that I didnt get to submit. Ive been busy running around getting my family straight for our stay at home order/isolation here in Georgia.

Regarding your request to receive new applications after the deadline, that is not possible. This year we announced our application period, from March 2 to March 30th, 17 days in advance on Connect. We did it to give Local Guides plenty of time to prepare their application materials and/or earn points to become eligible to apply.
To answer your question, @Jamestowndigital : as you can read in our articles Connect Live 2020 application guidelines and Video tips for your Connect Live 2020 application, you had to choose one of our two video prompts and there was no requirement to go outside.
