Closer to autumn

Hello @JessR and welcome to Connect!

Amazing photo. Did you take it?

Since you’re new to the community, you might want to share a bit about yourself and get to know others in our monthly Introduce Yourself topic. You can also read these Tips: Using Local Guides Connect, as well as the Local Guides rules and our Community policy.

Nice picture, @JessR

I like the Idea of using some close-up photo for telling a story.

This is my small contribution of the incoming Autumn

I took the picture here (https://goo.gl/maps/TJMSKm7qGbS2) during my walk on the nature. This beautiful “Phytolacca americana” is very common in there (here from wikipedia) and is my first image of Autumn

Thank you @JessR

just a small suggestion: writing something more (instead to just dropping a photo) helps to engage other Local Guide.

Even if your photo is telling us a lot about the incoming Autumn, giving a location, and a bit of description, can help us to learn.

There are country in the world that, in this very moment, are waiting for an incoming springtime, isn’t it @FaridTDF ?

In some country autumn is dry, in other is foggy and wet. How is yours?

To give you an example, here you can see how the seasons are changing in my area: Beautiful Restera - a walk along the Sile River

You’re right @ErmesT I should’ve added more info to the photo.

Here’s a little info that were left out and in the future I will add it along with the photos :slight_smile:

I live in Denmark and we are just on the way out of summer. There are only very few leaves falling off the trees by now which makes this leave kind of remarkable. The weather are in a changing state, many days with shifting weather… like sunshine and 20-23 C degrees in the morning, later noon with rain and 15 C degrees and might as well change back again by afternoon or evening.

You see @JessR , how adding some content can change completely the flavour of the story :slight_smile:

I am living in north-east side of Italy, near Venice.

The days are becoming shorter now. Last week I was arriving home, for the first time, after the sunset. It give a bit of sadness, tha autumnal melancholy that I always associate to the Colors of the Autumn.

Well, never mind

If you want, you can add content to your post, just editing it. The only things you need to do is to press the three blue dots on your post, and to choose “edit”

@ErmesT
It was no mistake that I didn’t add any info to start with because I thought the photo already said more than words and the title of the photo was an important part of that (with the double meaning time-wise and the fact it is a close-up of a leaf) That’s why I chose to put the info in a comment to you instead of edit the post.
But of course, not all are looking at the profile to find out where I’m from :slight_smile: And I take your comment seriously and in the future I will be more detailed.

What I was looking for and kind of missed out when I posted the photos was a way to tag the photo. Maybe I just haven’t found it but it seemed like I didn’t have the opportunity to add others than fixed tags. I would have added location and other useful info within the tags.

@JessR

In Connect we can only add fixed tag. On the previous version of the community, the tag were open, giving a lot of room for an inappropriate use.

If you have some tag on your mind, or some suggestions for an improvement, feel free to give a suggestion on Idea Exchange
