Discription:-
Today’s post of mine is dedicated to our Dada @TusharSuradkar passion for clock tower.
Clock towers around the world are not just structures that tell time, but they are symbols of history, culture and community spirit. There are many interesting stories behind them.
Discription:-
When personal clocks were rare, clock towers were an important means of telling time publicly. Their bells could be heard from far away, letting people know when to go to work or other important events.
Clock towers in many parts of the world were built by rulers (kings) or powerful entities to display their power and dominance. Their grandeur and height reflected their presence and importance in the city.
In India, many clock towers were built during the British rule, while some were built by local kings to establish their identity and legacy.
Clock towers in many cities remain iconic landmarks, maintaining the city’s historical and cultural identity and demonstrating technological progress.
In short - clock towers around the world are more than just devices for telling time. They reveal the technological prowess of an era, the ambitions of rulers, and tell stories of a city’s community spirit and historic events.

@ShailendraOjha tengo una duda… Los relojes son origen de Inglaterra? Sabías que si son antiguos viene con un cambio de númeracuon, en Argentina tenemos uno en la estación de tren y se puede ver cómo antes.
Wow…! this is a dream post and a list of dream places to visit - I have noted them all dear @ShailendraOjha bhai
Though I would like to add that the clock towers were not mere symbols of showing the power and authority of rulers.
Many clock towers were raised by common people and municipal corporations.
The underlying principle was the ‘common good’ of the society and common values and utility.
These clock towers were typically installed in marketplaces where the entire market worked on the sounds and alarms from these clock towers, like start time, lunch time, closing time, break time, and so on.
In most cases, people poured in the money, and the rulers also contributed.
Hello dear LG @ShailendraOjha
I fully agree with you… The Clock Tower is an exciting topic.
I, too, love clock towers a lot.
For your company, I am adding a photo of “Methan Mani”, Trivandrum.
I will always remember my time in Trivandrum. There have been times when I’ve been in the vicinity of Padmanabhan Temple that I’ve been unable to put into words. Sometimes mesmerized by the temple’s festival of lights, and other times immersed in devotion alongside Sabarimala devotees! I turned to look at the clock tower, but I overlooked it,Dakshin Nada is site to this clock tower,TG. Anyway dear TG @TravellerG thank you very very much
