At public places like the markets and on the streets in a period long before we started looking at our phones or glancing at wrist watches clock towers were the best way to find out the time.
Clock towers are common in many parts of the Indian states with some being iconic buildings. They were present in large metropolitans like the RajaBhai Tower in Mumbai and also in smaller towns like Merta in Rajasthan at prominent places.
I saw this tower during my visit to the Meera Bai temple and museum in Merta City last month. I added it to Google Maps without losing time.
The beautiful tower is made in marble entirely except for some parts in the lower area that are in white limestone.
How To Reach
The clock tower is located in the heart of old town with very narrow streets so I parked the car outside on the main road near Prince Cinema Hall and walked 500 meters into the old town to reach the monument.
Accessibility Features
The clock tower has an accessible approach area and also a leveled ground around it to explore it from all sides.
There are a dedicated and accessible 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler parking as well.

What Else to Do in Merta City
The Meera Bai temple and the Meera Bai Museum are the top places of attraction in Merta City and walkable distance from the Clock Tower.
