City of beaches The Sydney Australia

Last year I was on 15 day vacation to Sydney Australia. I don’t know how 15 days passed. It’s just dream now. Sydney is a commercial city in nature. Well planned transport system. Metro train is best source to travel within city as well as near by towns. I stayed at central near University of Sydney. You are connected to almost all nearby picnic spots from central. Bondi Beach, Darling Harbour, Sydney Opera House (lighting at night will make you mad), Sydney Harbour Bridge, Parramatta (enjoy ferry ride from Darling Harbour to Parramatta). Ferry ride is must. On the way to Parramatta, you will be able to have very close view of Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. I managed to enjoy south Indian food at Swarna bhawan, Parramatta, gave me feeling at home, Toranga Zoo (meet kangaroos and koalas at Sydney wild life) + Penguin’s house. Hyde Park (There you can meet many newly married couples. After marriage in church, couples come to this place for photo-shot). At the north end of Hyde Park, in Queens Square, are three fine Georgian buildings, St. James’ Church, Hyde Park Barracks and the Supreme Court. Facing Hyde Park, St. Mary’s Cathedral (1868-82) is a symbol of the spiritual beginnings of the Catholic Church in Australia. The day I visited Hyde Park, found many young boys and girls dressed like classic Germans marching to participate Oktoberfest. I was lucky to visit Sydney in the month of October, so could be the part of Oktoberfest. I visited to Three sisters mountains and Katoomba also (enjoy the steepest train ride there). My best beach is Kiama Surf beach. Neat and clean rock beaches. I will recommend you to stay at least one or two nights there. It’s heaven. Just on beach take 2 or 3 bed room cottage, with attached rest room, drawing dinning and kitchen. Kiama Sydney is very peaceful and dreamland. If you love nature, you should cry to visit Sydney Australia. Missed to write of Sea Life Sydney Aquarium. It was also great experience and entertaining. I am planning again this year to visit Australia. I love traveling and enjoy traveling and sharing the experience.

Thank you for sharing all these wonderful ideas for sightseeing around the city, @RKArora ! Many of them are world famous landmarks. Plus, I am surprised they have Hide Park as well. It’s quite common for the ex-British colonies, I guess.

What’s your impression of the Opera and what’s the bat trip around the harbor like?

It was wonderful There was celebration of Oktoberfest, the day I visited Hyde Park. All in German traditional Bavarian clothing, Most of the ladies in traditional Bavarian dirndl - white blouse, knee-length dress, apron. For the gents - white or plaid shirt, weird knee socks, some comfortable loafers, plussss big beer mugs, rides.

Opera toooooooooooooooo Good Visit in night also. Lights there will really move you.
