Churi Wali Gali/ Bangle Market - Gurugram City

“Churi Wali Gali” or Bangle Market as the name implies shops flooded with bangles from different Indian States. Separated by the narrow lane, it has small/big shops offering wide variety of bangles with affordable pricing. These lanes have always been close to heart, as a kid we used to walk through those lanes, hopping from one shop to another.

I took a Solo trip, boarded the Auto, deboarded on main road, walked through deep lanes of Sadar Bazar, reached the “Churi Wali Gali”. I observed those shops offering diverse supplies, saw people from different Haryana states. As I walked deep in those pockets, I saw shops with bangles all around. The colors and design shook me.

I visited three shops and purchased bangles, what they offer:

  • Bangles - of different sizes, types, color & design
  • Cosmetic Supplies
  • Wholesale Pricing - Affordable & Reasonable
  • Minimum 12 bangles you have to purchase - which is one box.

First Shop - Chauhan Enterprises - Wide variety, reasonable pricing, polite staff. It has cosmetic supplies portion also.

Second Shop - New Kanhaiya Bangles Store - Wholesale bangles store. The pricing is affordable and wide variety of bangles in different sizes, design, colors. It has cosmetic supplies as well.

Through this step of mine, I was able to explore the market and contribute further. This post of mine should engage people with the thought that we should all #SupportSmallBusiness and our incredible Indian Culture.

Pro-Tip - Cars are not allowed in the lanes. Two wheelers can enter, but are stopped during peak hours. Instead take Auto, take a walk through diverse Sadar Bazar streets. Carry your own water bottle and some cash. Avoid evening hours as they are the peak hours and often crowded.

Hope you will all like this post and thought on supporting small business.

Whenever I saw these kind of posts on Connect, I feel more craving to visit India as soon as possible :star_struck:

@AnubhaBangia you know when I was seeing photos I was imagining Meena Bazar , Tariq Road, Jama Cloth market, and many more markets of Karachi, and Hyderabad Sindh as well (which is famous of Kaanch ki Chooriyan in all over Pakistan) and I was searching the difference between your photos and my imagination (where I often visited with my family where they buy such Choriyaan ) and guess what I was thinking that you took photos at the same places where I always visit in Karachi  means no difference in India & Pakistan’s ladies Shopping.

I love to tag some of my friends in your post

@JaneBurunina do you remember what I was talking about some time ago, the glass Bengals ?

@TusharSuradkar , @NareshDarji , @Tejal @TravellerG Sahab, ab to bus Aana hee Aana hey India InshaAllah :star_struck:

Excellent and captivating photo @AnubhaBangia

I lived in Gurugram, a few hundred meters away from Sadar Bazar for 4 years until June last year before moving back to my home town Pune.

We used to visit Chhodi Lane frequently in Sadar Bazar and enjoy shopping in the largest and most amazing Sadar Bazar in India which is in Gurugram.

This is a never-ending place for the women folk where one can shop to the heart’s desire, especially bangles.

Out here in Pune, we have the Tulsi Baug and while in Hyderabad, there was Sultan Bazar - places exclusively reserved for girl’s shopping.

Thank you for the photo and description once again - It makes us miss Gurugram very much. There is no other place like Gurugram in the entire world.

@KashifMisidia Bhai, this market Sadar Bazar in Gurugram is a must-visit with family when you are in India, looking forward to taking a stroll along with you when you are here, hopefully very soon

Yes, very well said, Gurugram city is comforting and one who leaves city, misses it.

They are the old lanes of Gurugram city, I really felt nostalgic visiting this place after so many years. Nothing changed, the aura and fragrance of the market is same as old years.
