Ho ho ho folks! Christmas is just around the corner and I’m putting together a simple(ish) meet-up in Manchester city centre on 21 and 22 December 2022. I will be setting up two different meet-ups so that you can sign up for either or both! The premise of these meet-ups is actually because we have a super visitor from Belgium, @JanVanHaver who will be in Manchester from the 21 to 23 December and I will be taking him out exploring Manchester on the first two days. Unfortunately, I will be scooting off to Scotland on the 23 December but not before kicking Jan out onto the streets to fend for himself
Anyway, the agenda for both days haven’t been finalised yet but it may include a few typical Manchester favourites:
And of course, we’ll be food crawling along the way as and when necessary!
Day 1 will most likely be focused on Manchester City Centre and the Christmas markets. If you’re interested to join in, do comment below and tag me using the @ symbol, stating your intentions. I will update this post once I have more information on what we will be doing on Day 1, where to meet and how to contact me etc. Thanks!
@JanVanHaver Oh I’ve got a few things I need you to do whilst you’re in Manchester. Here’s a clue: it involves some food from Belgium and it may involve some level of food preparation! Or a simple interview. Or both. How many episodes on Go Loco can I record in two days?! You don’t sleep much, right?!
As for the food preparation: please prepare band aids (there will be knives, right?) & a backup meal (in case you want to be absolutely sure you will have something to eat).
Thanks very much @indahnuria ! I just hope the weather holds! It’s very wet and cold today. It almost looks like somebody tripped and spilled grey paint over everything!!
oh nooo… similar thing happens down here in Wellington. All grey, wet and gloomy, when we suppose to enjoy summer now @AdrianLunsong . Well… hope we will have more and more better days ahead
