Hi Friends,
Overwhelmed to start with my first post. During my business travels i wandered many places in locality of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra Region of India.
Recently I come across this monument situated at the entry point of one of a district of Madhya Pradesh state named Dewas. What attracts me to this is the mythological connection of the name of this crossing.
The Crossing is named on an Indian God Chitragupta. Chitragupta was in the position of Chief accountant of lord of Yamlok, Yamraj. Yamraj also popular as Dharmaraj was the God of death as well as a keeper of your Good and Bad deeds. So this gentlemen Chitragupta assists him book-keeping the same.
follower and descendants of Chitragupta had called Kayasth in nowadays.
Those are with excellent accountant and Book-keepers.
Once in my career I was posted at Ajmer(Rajasthan) which is the place mostly populated with descendants of Chitragupta.
Today coming across this name once again take to me in my past and the beautiful memories at that time, which certainly inspired me to write this small note.
hope you like it.
Keep in touch.
regards
