In 2017 I travelled with my father and his partner to China to visit Canton feir. The experience was amazing, it blow my mind. It’s funny becouse, I found Chinese culture so different to our (Argentinian culture). But, on the other hand I think that Argentinian and Chinese people are very similar in how we socialize. They are very friendly and love to spent time with their families. Just like us.
During the trip my dad presented me to Joy, a Chinese supplier that he work with. He is a great person! Until today, we daily speak through wechat.
He spent several days with us and showed us a little of China. He was an excellent host.
On the last days I had the idea of giving him some kind of present to thank him for all his attention. So, I decided to give him a ”dulce de leche” pot. He didn’t even know what dulce de leche was or how to eat it, so I asked him to bring his present to the next day breakfast so I could teach him how to eat it.
Next morning at first hour there he was. We the dulce the leche on one hand and a milk cup on the other. ” I also brought the milk for the dulce de leche” he told me. I started laughing and explained him that the milk will not be necessary.
With the help of my dad’s partner, I prepared a table with banana pieces, bread, and croissants. We encouraged him to try the dulce de leche with every little thing on the table. He loved it!
He couldn’t stop eating! He even ate straight from the pot!
We had to tell he to stop because we were scared of he get sick.
Of course, he took the jar to his home and promised to tell us if his family like it or not.
Some days after after he return to his home, we got a message from him. Apparently his family loves dulce de leche too!! Specially his little son who were sad because his mom couldn’t buy more off that ”tasty thing”.
