If you have never been to the Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco, you’re missing one of our oldest cultural events! Started in the 1860s by the Chinese in San Francisco as a means to educate the community about their culture, the Parade and Festival have grown to be the largest celebration of Asian culture outside of Asia. Parade starts at 6pm but you can show up any time after 12 to enjoy the Festival first. I’m planning to be there around 12ish ~ Kim Here are photos from last year: https://goo.gl/photos/4DsrwZJ8JirFCryg6 LOTS of good foods in the Festival and business in Chinatown but many take only CASH so make sure you come prepared. Jackets highly suggested for the Parade.

My minimum requirement for a meet up? “Will I have fun if no one shows?” YES! This is something that is a lot of fun and always better with friends.
