Chilimo Gaji Forest in Ethiopia

Chilimo Forest is located in Western Showa Zone close to Ginchi town, Capital of Dendi District, and 90 km west of Addis Ababa. Chilimo Forest is one of the few remnants of dry Afro-montane forest that remain on Ethiopian Central Plateau. The vegetation throughout this area has been subject to human impact for over 2,000 years (longer than in any other East African country). The forest is montane mixed broadleaf-coniferous, although conifers predominate.

Chilimo Gaji forest is a beautyful land.It is interesting to learn about 2000 years of human activities there.So,if it is on the plateau is the wheather colder than the rest of subsaharan Africa?

Thanks JoseFelixAranda for your your comment and I would like to appreciate for your interest to know about the weather here in Ethiopia. Yes, Ethiopia is colder than any other Sub-Saharan countries, better to say very moderate weather conditions. I will post more about the weather and other related issues about this ancient country, Ethiopia in the future.
