Three fold importance of chikhaldara is 1… situated in the Satpura range and offers stunning views of valleys, lush green forests, and numerous waterfalls. It is the only coffee-growing region in Maharashtra.

2.The area is home to the Melghat Tiger Reserve, which is part of the Project Tiger initiative. It provides a habitat for a variety of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and several species of birds.

3 . Chikhaldara is named after Keechaka, a character from the Mahabharata. It is believed that Bheema killed Keechaka and threw him into the valley here.
