It’s that time of the year again. The cherry blossom trees are blooming and people from near and far are coming to Bispebjerg Cemetery, Copenhagen, to witness this beautiful sight.
Approximately 150,000 people are going to visit “Kirsebæralléen” in the southwestern part of Bispebjerg Cemetery this year. This is where you find the cherry blossom trees.
Last weekend I decided to visit Kirsebæralléen for the first time ever. I grabbed my fully charged mobile phone, which I use as my main camera, and drove to the destination. It was somewhat hard to find a parking space at Bispebjerg Cemetery. However, I found a parking space after twenty minutes. It’s probably not this bad during weekdays.
I spent two hours walking around and snapping photos of the pinkish flowers above everyone’s head. There is something special about the blooming of cherry blossoms. It makes people gather with family and friends to share this beautiful moment.
If you haven’t visited Kirsebæralléen, I highly recommend you to do so before it’s too late. The cherry blossom season is approximately two weeks long. Hurry up or you will have to wait until next year.
