Cherapunjee . What do we know about if we have not visited this place . The place with maximum rain . Yes , exactly as per general knowledge . It is one of essential places to visit when someone plans to go eastern part of India . It’s the must visit place situated in the east khasi hill district 58 Kms from the capital of Meghalaya , Shillong . It’s also a place gifted with full of nature. Road to reach there is also very interesting full of valley two lane roads . From Shillong to cherapunjee , you will come across with somany hotspots to spend good time. Means once you will enter the Meghalaya , your good time will start automatically . I mean to say there are lots of places between Shillong and cherapunjee like some ponds , some hills , some Maggi stores , tea stalls . Somewhere you will find church with sisters , their cute students , those typical types of students , cute Children which we used to see in movies or short videos portraying eastern India . Somewhere you will see boys playing football in various places roadside grounds . The road will not seem to road only it will be like a ride , rollercoaster ride . You just have to enjoy it . And by enjoying this eyeemerging views you will see the left handed board SOHRA WELCOMES YOU written on it in a simple formal way without using multiple colours and themes . Cherapunjee is known as SOHRA there . This is also special about cherapunjee , there is not any particular circle , road crossing or public gathering landmark type thing . It’s a atypical hill station as it doesn’t have typical sunset point or sunrise point or lover’s point or hill view type points ???. It depends on us where we want to make which point including ???. Yes you will witness multiple couples doing race on tvs scooty type vehicle ( it’s not scooty , I don’t remember its name now exactly ) . Yes in the morning you will witness multiple layers of sky I should say clean sky . Very simple life style , high thinking type of people . I stayed at homestay first time when I went there . There is a named ‘BYTHEWAY’ homestay . Another thing you will see homes with large area not structurally but with gardening space . ---- Nongriat containing the centre of attractions LIVING ROOT BRIDGE . it is around 15 Kms from bytheway our homestay . This road is also as it was from Shillong to cherapunjee with some more twists and dense surrounding of nature . The point where you have to put or park your vehicle . From that point you have to go to root bridge by walking or hiking. This trail contains a village also . Yes , I am not kidding . This trail will make you some tired . Living root bridge is such a nice place . It’s a double decker bridge . Under this there is water stream . You are like fully happily isolated by nature. You will literally forget everything and enter into the never ending phase. Till here there is a proper stapes like direction . But from here , there is another point named RAINBOW FALL around 1km . And to read there you have navigate you by your self , your conscience . It’s a little bit of hard than earlier trail like some slippery land and other things . But it also a not missing place if you are visiting living root bridge. Around 100 metres away from RAINBOW FALL , you will start hearing its voice which will lead you and encourage you to reach there . And after reaching there , you will enjoy a crystal clear water . Yes , there are somany other places like Dwaki , Mawlynnong .
