Chicken Pakora is just one my favorite Indian Snacks since childhood. Here I am sharing the whole experience with all of you which I made in my kitchen recently for the first time.
About
So Chicken Pakora is a popular Indian Snack. The word has derived from a Sanskrit word ‘pakvavata’ where ‘pakva’ means anything cooked and ‘vata’ means a small lump. It’s been heard that ‘Pakora’ has actually came from the western states of India, specially Gujrat. Traditionally Gujratis love to eat Pakora at the tea time beside Punjabis love to prefer it when there is rain. It’s also called as Pakoda, Pakodi, Bhajiya, Bhajji, Bhaji etc. or Fritters (fried snack) in the subcontinent areas.
So, for this recipe you need Boneless Chicken pieces which are marinated with Lemon, Ginger-Garlic Paste, and coated with Besan(Gram Flour), Rice Flour,Cornflour, Egg, Garam Masala primarily. You can add finely chopped vegetables like Carrot, Beans, Cabbage, Green Chili etc. Mix everything very well and leave it for 30 mins . If you increase the spiciness then add Black Pepper and Red Chili Powder. As I personally don’t eat that much spicy so I haven’t add those except green chilies and fry it in Refined Sunflower Oil until they turn golden brown. Lastly serve it hot with ketchup with a cup of Tea or Coffee .
Do try this new new recipe at home in this lock down situation and enjoy your snack time to the fullest !
Very Delicious Afternoon Snake. Thanks for the recipe. I think it’s very easy. I hope to try it in my kitchen tomorrow. But I think it would be more delicious to add some coriander leaves. If I do, I will definitely share the pictures with you. You know, I love cooking so much?
