The Charminar which literally means “four pillars/minarets” was constructed in 1591 during the regime of Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah (Ruler from Qutb Shahi dynasty). Charminar is a piece of iconic monument and mosque located in the Hyderabad city (Telangana state, India). This famous landmark has become the global identity of Hyderabad city and has been listed among the most popular and recognized structures in India. Because of its popularity the state government of Telangana have incorporated it as the official emblem of state.
Charminar is also well-known for its decorated and famous local markets (In local language: Bazaars) in its surroundings. It is quite normal to see thousands of tourists flocking this place throughout the year. The bazaars are full of travelling salesman, Bangle sellers (Famous for lac bangles), spices, Silk traders, Food stalls, perfume oils and clothes stores.
The architecture of Charminar is built in Indo-Islamic architectural style. It is made of limestone, granite, pulverized marble and mortar structure with four embellished minarets attached to the four arches. The estimated weight of this beautiful piece of art is approximately, 14,000 tonne. Visitors are allowed to enter this iconic site and appreciate the beautiful construction rendering, traditional styled balconies, stairways, parapets. The visiting hours to enter this site is from 09:30 Am - 05:30 Pm. Interested tourists can easily reach this place through either city buses, Rental cabs or Auto rickshaws.
Charminar is not about just the building or the monument but the magical atmosphere around in its markets and bazaars and food stalls especially Hyderabadi biryani, and if I may add the peculiar care-free accent of the Hyderabadi language - collectively define Charminar.
@TusharSuradkar Thanks for the appreciating words, Even I found many of my friends from the rest of India amused when they listen to our Hyderabadi accent. Hyderabadi accent is definitely a mixture of Urdu, Hindi, Telugu.

Not yet @fasi6083 haha. I visited only Mumbai, Goa and Tiruvanamalai. I had an extraordinary time in India, and I will go again, for sure. So nice and kind people.
@BudiFXW I am taking necessary precautions and mostly staying indoors, thank you for asking. I hope you are staying safe too. Yes, it is allowed to access the top floor and there are approximately 149 stairs to reach it. The entry fee for foreign nationals is 100 INR (1.33 US$) whereas for locals it is 5 INR.
