Chakli is traditional dish in Maharashtra, India. It is mainly made in during Diwali, a major Indian festival but is also made ocassionally.
A dough is made of mixture of flour known as ‘bhajni’. Then dough is moulded in such circular shapes. Then it is fried in oil and served hot.

This reminded me of my childhood friend with whom I am not in contact now but used to bring these Chakli for the lunch and share with me. Lovely.

Chakli looks and sounds interestings @Viranchi but how do make what looks like the protective skin of a crocodile?

A mould! I’m intrigued @Viranchi . So is one strand made at a time or does this mould have capacity to make many strands ?

@AdamGT The mould has capacity to make many chaklis in one go. Approximately 5-6 chaklis can be made.
