Chai Pe Charcha 🫖 & International Plant Appreciation Day Challenge 🪴

Hy Local Guides, :teapot::potted_plant:

Thiruvananthapuram has a fair share of Unique Businesses on Google Maps. As part of Chai Pe Charcha of @TusharSuradkar and International Plant Appreciation Day Challenge of @TravellerG, I discovered this unique Business that centred around Chai and Garden centre.

Plants & Pots - Chai & Juice Garden is a women owned garden centre and Tea shop. They centred around Tea/chai with snacks and Plants & Pots with gardening services.

I think, Tea is far better when having it in a garden or plants near to it.

Translation/Meaning of Malayalam words in above menu for Tea section.

  • ചായ (Tea) - Tea with Milk
  • കട്ടൻ (Kattan) - Tea without Milk
  • സുലൈമാനി - Tea with Pinch of Mint with lemon (without milk)
  • ചുക്ക് കാപ്പി - a herbal drink with ginger and spices added to Boiling water with palm jaggery giving it a brown colour. Recipe changes as required for individuals and tea leaves or coffee grounds can be added to it.

This business would be also First Accessible LGBTQ+ :rainbow_flag: Friendly and woman owned Business I visited. They also allows Dogs inside but personally, make sure to keep in mind that some plants (most indoors and creepers plants) would be lethal/poisonous to Pets :cat::dog:.

How I helped their business as a Local Guide?

  • Shared information on how to enable “identifies as women owned” feature.
  • Shared Accessibility and Pet Allowing Information.

Thank you @TusharSuradkar and @TravellerG for starting your respective challenge so that we local guides discover unique business and support them such as this

Share such unique and interesting business which collaborate two or more challenges at once.

What a fantastic find, @Rahul001! :leaf_fluttering_in_wind::hot_beverage: Combining a serene garden setting with a cozy tea corner is such a refreshing concept—perfect for both Chai pe Charcha and the International Plant Appreciation Day Challenge! :seedling: I especially loved how you included translations for the local menu—it adds such a personal touch and makes it easier for others to connect with the place. Kudos to you for supporting an inclusive, women-owned, and pet-friendly business. This is what being a Local Guide is all about—discovery, support, and impact! :raising_hands:
