Good local guides is a community where all guides provide their contributions to google maps. There is no payment for the contributions but you do get to enjoy some perks every now and then. Being a local guide, you are part of the global community who keeps google map up to date with accurate information. Millions of people depend on local guides.

This program has levels which you climb while earning some badges. I think that might be something you are looking for?

If not, when you say certification, what exactly do you mean?

Local Guides receive benefits depending on their level which depends on the number of contributions they share on Google Maps. You can learn more about the program and benefits in the Help Desk and Question about a Local Guides perk email? Read this first.

Perks are offered to Local Guides from time to time as a thank you for contributing great content on Google Maps. You may receive a perk because you’ve consistently shared high-quality contributions, reached a certain level, or often review a category related to a perk. Perks may be offered to Local Guides in particular regions.

And my friend @Anil8185 can you say why you ask about certificate for local guide? And what purpose you use this certificate?..

If we give certificate, that may be unbalance local guides community, because some are get certificate and some are not… And it’s also affect the this volunteer program…

Because may be many local guides will giving contributions for only purpose of getting certificate…

I hope you understand…

And I hope there will may serval changes by google Maps team about perks, or may other more benefit…
