Century old 13 arch bridge , kerala, India

  • This marvelous piece of engineering work on the greens of western ghats of kerala is really outstanding to view. Maharaja of travancore sanction this bridge for meter gauge train service, build by British engineers in 1900…whole is made of granite blocks and mortar.Still this bridge is active with broad gauge fast trains…Ride from the nearest railway station catching the stunning beauty of the jungles

In Kerala’s malayalam language, the bridge is called as pathi moonnu (13),kannara (arch) palam (bridge).
