ESTOY DE TRBAJO POR UNOS MESES AQUI EN BOGOTA COLOMBIA, Y HE CAMINADO ALGUNOS LUGARES DE ELLO, Y ADEMAS QUE TIENE LUGARES MUY LINDOS, LA GENTE ES MUY AMABLE. MUY DIFERENTE A LO QUE ESCUCHABA EN MEXICO, SOBRE ESTE PAIS. MUY CONTENTO DEE SEGUIR CONOCIENDO COLOMBIA.

Hi @Pochipochi94 ,

Bogota looks amazing, thanks for sharing with us! Is it your home town? I’ve always wanted to visit Colombia and I’ve got many friends from Cali and Bogota. Do you have any tips for first time travelers? Is it safe and how should I prepare?

Hello DanniS.

I don’t know if you already did your trip to Colombia bit anyway I want to answer. Bogota Colombia is my hometown and I’m proud to say that is a very beautiful city. If you are a first time traveler in Bogota I recommend you to find a place close to the place of your interest. For example if you want to visit “monserrate” which is a church in the top of a mountain or “la candelaria” which is like the historical center with all the architecture from the colonial time you should find a place just in the center of the city because here in Bogota the public transport is not very good it’s use to be delayed and really crowded. Of course is not like that in all the country but at least in Bogota is a mess. Talking about the safety I think that is not very dangerous I just recommend you to not stay at night in the south side of the city. In the important places you will find a plenty of police officers and really nice people who like to help. Furthermore in Colombia you will also find a lot of magic and natural landscapes out of the city like 60 minutes driving of you are looking for something different near to the city.

If you want to know something else I’ll be here to answer.

Thank you for your response! Remember to use @ before my name so that I can see your message sooner.

I really appreciate your tips and advice. I haven’t yet visited it, but definitely would love to. It’s very beautiful from what I’ve seen and it’s very interesting to me to see a different kind of culture.
