The space of memory, peace and reconciliation, is dedicated to develop exercises that build collective historical memory, and its main objective is to seek recognition of rights in the victims of the internal armed conflict in Colombia and try to build the country’s peace.
It is located in the center of Bogotá, in the Santafé neighborhood in the town of the martyrs, connects directly with the central cemetery and also with Avenue 26, where we have easy access thanks to the mass transit system in Bogotá, Transmilenio, its schedule Available is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and has access for all audiences. What is done there is to implement strategies that guarantee the reconstruction of memory focused mainly on the education sector and at the same time provide citizens with a free development in their participatory exercises.
I had the opportunity to visit it this week and I was surprised by a project that aimed to build the memory of the country for the victims of the armed conflict, through fabrics, which allows to develop a free skill and meet those who make a healthy art, supporting knowledge and knowledge. The most interesting thing is the support that the project called (union of seamstresses) has had on the part of the great universities of Bogotá, who contribute professional and cultural knowledge to the whole Colombian society.
