This photo was taken with a Pentax K1000 / 35 mm lens with a polarizer. This is the ceiling of the Celsus Library in Ephesus, Turkey. The third largest library of the Roman Empire next to The Library of Alexandria which was burned to the ground centuries ago. Considered a masterpiece and a marvel of the ages by all scholars in the world Celsus stands supreme as a miraculously preserved legacy of the Holy Roman Empire. It is a miracle it is still standing.

The Celsus Library is one of the place of Ephesus that I absolutely love.
Have you noticed that the inscriptions on the walls are both in Ancient Greek and Latin?
