The countdown to the Namaste India Summit 2026 in Delhi on August 15th has begun, and we are excited to welcome an incredible community of Local Guides from across India.
A special invitation goes out to all the Women Local Guides who continue to make Google Maps more helpful, safer, and more inclusive through their meaningful contributions.
At this year’s summit, we would love to showcase your impact in areas such as:
-
Women’s Friendly
-
Child-Friendly
-
Accessibility
-
Inclusive places for everyone
Your contributions inspire communities and help millions of people navigate with confidence every day.
How to participate
-
Share a screenshot or photo uploaded by you on your Google Maps contribution related to women’s safety, child safety, or accessibility
. -
Share the review link (or Maps contribution link) for that place.
-
Write a few words about why you made that contribution and how you hope it helps others.
Here I am sharing a few examples:
Pic 1: I took this photo at the Mumbai airport and uploaded it to Google Maps, mentioning women-friendly restrooms.
2- Family Restroom: A clean, accessible restroom designed for families, caregivers, and travelers needing additional space and privacy. It accommodates parents with young children, individuals with disabilities requiring assistance, and caregivers. Equipped with baby-changing facilities and accessible features, it provides a safe, comfortable, and convenient environment within the airport terminal.
3- Diaper changing area: It is a dedicated, hygienic space within the airport where parents and caregivers can safely change infants’ diapers. It is equipped with a changing station and waste disposal facilities and is designed to provide comfort, convenience, and privacy.
We’ll feature selected stories and contributions during the Namaste India Summit, celebrating the amazing work women in our Local Guides community are doing.
Let’s inspire more women to contribute and make Google Maps better for everyone. We are fortunate to have the support of incredible women who continue to inspire our Local Guides community. A special mention to @Latika_Malhotra Google Maps Product Marketing lead (UGC) whose encouragement means so much to contributors around the world.
