The celebration of Pohela Boishakh has become an integral part of Bangalis since it began over six centuries ago. Pahela Baishakh meaning first of Baishakh. Baishakh is the first month of Bangali calendar. The festival date is set according to the solar Bengali calendar as the first day of its first month Baishakh. In Bengali we called পহেলা বৈশাখ or বাংলা নববর্ষ.
It is celebrated on 14 April as a national holiday in Bangladesh. We are few Bangladeshi living in Malaysia celebrated yesterday because the holy month Ramadan is starting from 12 April.
As an expat in Malaysia we always miss our culture, country festivals. It’s not a festival celebration but also a get together for us. One of our very popular Bangladeshi Expats couple organised this celebration at his house. After many months, we were very happy to meet everyone. This party starts from afternoon till midnight. The event focused on projecting Bangladeshi Cultural programs with traditional songs, Bangladeshi Food , Kids Arts, Pitha and BBQ Party.
@SumaiyaZafrin I missed you lot, Insallah next Pohela Boishakh we will celebrate together.

@SumaiyaZafrin we missed you lot.
Dear @PavelSarwar bro,
You are really a great guy. It is good to see that you are embracing the culture of our country even from that country.
There has been no fair or event in the country for fasting and lockdown this year. We are missing those days.
The pictures of your celebrations and food are great. Water ran down my tongue.
Thanks for sharing with us. Keep sharing your best celebration with us.
