Celebrating 50,000+ Approved Roads on Google Maps

Hello dear Local Guides,

I am excited to share that I have reached a milestone of adding over 50,142 approved new roads to Google Maps as of August 4th, 2026.

This journey started during TRAC 2023, and today it has grown to over 50,000+ approved roads. Every road added is a small contribution that helps people navigate more easily and makes the world a little more accessible.

I sincerely thank Google Maps for providing a platform where Local Guides can draw roads and help improve the map for everyone.

I am also very grateful that Google recognized my contributions by awarding me the Road Mapping Champion Badge in 2025 and giving me the opportunity to share my journey during the ConnectLIVE 2025 panel discussion. These recognitions have encouraged and motivated me to contribute even more.

I am grateful to Connect Moderator Captain @SholaIB for creating TRAC and inspiring many Local Guides to contribute to and improve the road network on Google Maps.

Ciao, @MarcoDavoli Thank you for being so supportive at every stage of my road mapping journey. Your encouragement has always motivated me, and I am especially grateful to you for awarding me the Grandmaster Badge when I reached the 30,000 roads milestone. The ROADERS.CLUB platform you created has become a wonderful home for the TRAC community, inspiring and motivating us.

This milestone would not have been possible without the encouragement of the Local Guides community. You have always been there to encourage me, even for my small achievements. I sincerely thank all of you!

I would love to see more Local Guides participate in Road Editing and join ROADERS.CLUB to learn, receive support, and connect with fellow Roaders. I have shared my experiences through helpful posts on Connect, and there are also many excellent posts written by experienced Local Guides on this topic. I hope these resources inspire more Local Guides to start contributing.

I’m pleased that Connect Moderator @AdamGT recently started the Top 100 Roads Leaderboards. I hope they encourage more Local Guides to join TRAC.

@PrasadVR It is really impressive work. I tried to add some missing roads. Google took forever to approve them, and in the end, when I checked, it said not approved. I would love to learn from you how you did it. That’s really impressive.

It is really impressive. Because of my work, I travel to various countries, and I have tried to add some roads, but I am sure that I must be doing something wrong while processing it, due to which I never know if they are accepted or rejected. I will be trying to find an opportunity to visit @PrasadVR or anyone who can help.

You can not image how I am happy about this milestone. I’d like to be there with you to celebrate and make a great party!

If I am not wrong we started since the beginning in 2023 together with the first TRAC Campaign organised by @SholaIB . What a great idea and vision Shola had and how you grow so fast.
