As an architect and artist, my work often takes me to new places, so Google was my go-to for almost everything. One day, I noticed an error on Google Maps and decided to fix it. That small act led me to the Google Local Guides Community, where I began connecting with others who shared my passion. It was a big leap for me, finding a network of people exchanging ideas and insights, all contributing to something larger than just navigation.

For the past five years, I’ve been actively contributing to Google Maps, Road Mappers, and Local Guides—editing, expanding, and error-checking wherever I can. Whenever I visit a new place, I make sure to capture photos and share a detailed review. My profile is full of restaurant reviews, reflecting my love for exploring new spots. Today, I’m proud to be a Level 8 Local Guide from Bangladesh!

Contributing to Local Guides has become part of my daily routine. Over time, I became connected with the Bangladesh Local Guides Community, and I recently attended a meet-up. The experience was inspiring—I received valuable guidance and insights from fellow contributors. Now, this community feels more like a family to me, a supportive network where we all grow and learn together.

Recently, I received my first gift from Google, and it was a huge source of inspiration. It made me feel like I truly belong to a vast, global family—one where Google is at the heart of it all. I’m completely overwhelmed by this gesture, and it’s only deepened my passion for contributing.

Throughout my journey, I’ve made plenty of mistakes, but each one has been a valuable lesson. I’m constantly refining my skills to help make Google Maps even better. As a Bangladeshi Local Guide, I’m committed to working alongside my fellow guides, and I believe our collective efforts will lead to meaningful change in the near future.
