Sam sand dunes or Sam desert is located at about 40 km of Jaisalmer. It is the prime attraction and a commercial tourist spot in India. There are various activities that a visitor can enjoy here especially the 31st eve, when thousands of visit to celebrate unforgettable night. Spectators from all over the world gather here to witness the event displaying the true traditional color of Rajasthan, hence every year it start in the month of October and goes to till end of February in the vast desert. I was born and raised here in this part of world, hence i acknowledge the importance of tourism. I did got the opportunity to celebrate my new year eve there twice, every time i visited i was not sure what to expect from trip but somehow those nights were the best nights of my life. The sky with countless stars was our ceiling for 3 nights and sleeping under the star changed my perception about planet and universe. In spite of this place location, it is nearby border with Pakistan without even knowing the fact that India and Pakistan has not been sharing good relationship with each other for decades, needles to say but we had great fun there. Hundred of Tents are being set up every year to attract visitor from all across the world to come together under the stars to enjoy. Just for the record we are about to celebrate 2020 in few days therefore make sure to visit Sam sand dunes…here is pictures i clicked in 2016

It’s a very interesting post, and I wish I could celebrate New Years there. I had the chance to sleep in the desert in Morocco few month ago, and it’s unforgettable.
The night was cold, but we didn’t feel it in the tent. There were bathroom, fire place, and everything what you just need.
