As we mark this special day, coinciding with the 10-year anniversary of Local Guide Connect, I’m excited to share a curated list of 10 accessible places I’ve recently identified in my hometown, Madurai. These spots promote inclusivity and support for our community.

Here are the accessible places I’ve discovered:

1. RaceCourse Ground
   An integrated sports complex with facilities for para sports, making it a hub for inclusivity.

2. Dr. Anil Kumar Eye Hospital
   A newly opened eye clinic with thoughtful accessibility features, providing comprehensive eye care services.

3. Kids Talk
   A retail outlet catering to kids’ needs, with a new branch in Madurai ByPass Road built with accessibility in mind.

4. BK Broiler
   A conveniently located chicken shop with free street parking and a pollution-free environment.

5. Decathlon Sports
   An exclusive fitness experience store promoting healthy lifestyles, with easy access to equipment for various sports.

6. Track and Trial Cycle
   A newly renovated and renamed cycle shop, one of the few accessible cycle shops in Madurai.

7. Taj Gateway
   A premium resort with breathtaking cityscape views, carefully designed with accessibility features throughout.

8. First Cry
   A large store with friendly staff, conveniently located, and completely accessible infrastructure.

9. Thinnai Silaiman
   A clean, accessible, and sustainable snack point with a variety of freshly baked products.

10. Temple City
    A chain of vegetarian hotels with accessible kiosks for Chats, Juices, and Beverages.
