Oh, what 2020 has brought us! For many, we joined Local Guides for the first time. For others, we spent A LOT more time being active using the Google Maps app, participating or hosting meet-ups, especially virtual ones, being more active on Connect compared to previous years.

Join us on Dec 27th virtually!

Let’s share in 90 minutes what we accomplished with our 2020 Local Guides Goals. And for those brave enough, state publicly what your Local Guides Goals will be in 2021! (Feel free to share your 2021 Goals NOW!)

USA and Italy Local Guides Connect Moderators @KarenVChin and @ErmesT will be your hosts.

This meet-up will be highly interactive. Please join us via computer if possible. We will be having impromptu polling fun!

Join us wearing your best “Holiday Wear.”

Meet-up will be in English.

VIRTUAL MEET-UP LOGISTICS

1. Do RSVP, say “Hi” & ask your questions here in this Connect post before the meet-up.

2. Google Calendar Google Meet link will be emailed to you prior to our December 27th virtual meet-up.

3. Join the meet-up 10 min early. We will start precisely at 7 AM PDT / 4 PM CEST.

4. During the meet-up, be in a quiet area, wear a headset, & mute yourself

@Jamesozzie – I checked your RSVP form. You provided your correct Google Maps profile link!

We don’t send out the Google Meet Google Calendar Invite link until we close the RSVP Form on Saturday, December 26th. We need to check to verify that the Local Guides apply to the Dec 27th meet-up are Local Guides who are in good standing with the Program before the Meet link is emailed.

Hope this makes more sense to you. @ErmesT will send out a test email to all the Local Guides that have been approved to be sure the email addresses work prior to sending the Calendar invite. We have found that in past virtual meet-ups the Calendar link goes into spam for a few (Cannot figure out why??).

Happy 2021 @chamodhk ! No worries! Real life comes first before virtual. The recap is coming soon. The meet-up was almost 3 hrs long! @ErmesT and I had to recover from it. There was so much to go over and everyone who attended had lots to comment on.
