Causa rellena - peruvian food

This traditional Peruvian dish is called “causa rellena” or “causa limeña”. It has precolombine roots. This dish is made on the mainly yellow potatoes, lemon, yellow pepper, boiled egg, and black olives, then the avocado is added for the filling and lettuce for decoration. There are also several variants, such as tuna, trout, chicken, seafood or other types of white meats. It is served with light mayonnaise.

Another great post @marcorp ! The dish looks stunning. The strange thing is that it doesn’t sounds like something very hard to prepare, but I can definitely say that it was decorated beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. :slight_smile:

@KlaudiyaG thanks for your kind response… to be quite honest it is not thattttt difficult, it´s a popular and common dish that you can prepare at home. Of course, restaurants will provide a special touch, with some high quality add ons. Also, fair to say that Peruvian gastronomy is a big deal around here.
