We should definitely make sure to drink enough Belgian beers before the tariffs go through the roof 
Inviting @SamanthaSheehy to a Maps Editors Power Session (i.e. in case I would be allowed to attend with a mere 28K edits) sounds like a great idea. We should do that in the near future 
Whether the quality of the edits will remain at the same level of quality after having consumed some of those beers, however, remains questionable.

Do you know what Google is doing with the POIs which have one of the removed labels? Are they relabeled?
With this thought, I would like the list of deleted labels to contain a second column with the replacement labels.
