Chennai is the city in India for Carnatic Music lovers.There will be live concerts every week at least in couple of places in Chennai. During certain festival periods like Janmastami (this festival is in the month of August), Navaratri Pooja(this festival comes in October or November) etc there will be daily concerts in several concert halls being conducted by different organisers also known as Sabhas. For carnatic music lovers December month is very special in Chennai. Margazhi Music Festival is a famous event in Chennai in the month of December every year. There are about 15 to 20 well known sabhas and they conduct carnatic concerts from morning till late evening daily for about fifteen to twenty days. Music lovers from neighboring states and from abroad visit Chennai during December
