Capturing Experience

One day I took a photo at a sushi restaurant and received a notification from google asking me to share it. Seeing that the restaurant wasn’t that busy and the staff were friendly, I decided to share it without knowing the results and changes in my life. When I saw that everyday the photo got more visits I decided to post another photo, this time it was taken at Chilis. I couldn’t sleep that night waiting for a notification from Google to let me know how many people had seen it. I kept telling my kids to go in and check how many views I had.

It was exciting! Ever since then every time I went out I would take pictures of everything I ate and the people who I went with. I saw an oportunity to help people make their desicions in their favorite dishes nearby. I escaped to Orlando with my best friend and did the same there. More than the feeling of helping others I started feeling excited because of the impact my pictures had on Google.

Being a photographer is my passion, I wait for that notification from Google telling me that I am popular and that my pictures are helping others. One time I went out with my cousin to eat and watch a football game. I forgot to take a picture of the food when it came out. It was “Ropa Vieja” with fried plaintains, I laughed at myself because I was shocked that I did not take a picture, worried even, so I shared the experience instead and also had results.

On my aniversary I went to California and did the same. Sharing many wonderful places, so that others can see and when they go to visit they can have a chance to try those amazing dishes. It fills with me pride knowing that I’m contribiting to the success of their business, local and international to the travelers and adventurers.

I didn’t know about this community when I received this notification to meet with 200 Local Guides. It made me feel happy and now more dedicated to share my pictures and experiences so that others can enjoy my contributions.
