I recently noticed they added a caption thing to the Google local guides, I’ve been added captions for the last week or so, but I’ve noticed if I go to profile/achievements it says 0 captions still. I’ve always had this problem with the check the facts as well. was wondering if its just me or if others are experiencing this also.

Nevertheless I can give you a few answers here.
- The caption category under contributions is very new. It only appeared some.days ago.
- Captions on old photos and videos don’t count.
- Only recent contributions counts.
- I noticed that only photos and videos contributed using the explore tab(Androidd) counts
- Each caption earns 10 points video or photo.
