Cape Flattery ~The Last Northwest Point of America!

I recently visited the breathtaking beauty of Cape Flattery, a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts. Located in the northwesternmost point of the contiguous United States, Cape Flattery offers a mesmerizing coastal experience that left me in awe.

Here’s how I reached this stunning destination from Seattle:

I started my journey from Seattle, Washington, west on Highway 101. Following Highway 101 for approximately 140 miles led me to Neah Bay.
From there, I continued north on Cape Flattery Road for about 7 miles, looking for the signs indicating the trailhead to Cape Flattery.
I parked my vehicle in the designated parking area and began my adventure. (The parking had wheelchair accessibility :wheelchair: )

The trail to Cape Flattery was relatively short and well-maintained, making it accessible to visitors of various fitness levels. The approximately 0.75-mile is about an hour back and forth. The hike took me through lush forests, wooden boardwalks, and scenic viewpoints overlooking the rugged coastline.

As I reached the trail’s end, I was captivated by the stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The dramatic cliffs, towering sea stacks, and the powerful waves crashing against the rocks created a breathtaking sight. I even spotted seals, sea lions, and eagles soaring overhead, adding to the enchanting experience.

I made sure to stay on the marked trails and respected the natural surroundings, understanding that the untouched beauty of Cape Flattery should be preserved for generations to come.

So, if you’re seeking an escape from the city hustle, I highly recommend immersing yourself in the serenity of Cape Flattery. Embark on this scenic journey from Seattle, and let the awe-inspiring coastal vistas create memories that will last a lifetime.
