Cantabon Cave Siquijor Philippines

Cantabon Cave for me is one the coolest cave adventure I’ve ever experienced. It is found in the Siquijor Island Visayas Philippines which is known for Witchcraft or in our dialect, we called it “Barang”. I think this is the reason why some local tourists will think twice going to the island and I have to admit I am one of those. It took me 2 years to decide to visit he Island. But the most shocking part, so many Foreign Tourists visited the Island compare to local tourist during the time I visited the place. It was like I’m not in the Philippines. Anyways, that is the little description about Siquijor Island.

Cantabon Cave is found in the Center of the Siquijor Island. If you are planning to visit the place, it is easy to find in the Google maps. There is an International/Domestic Airport in Cebu Philippines. From there you can either ride a Fastcraft from the Cebu City Pier or go to Cebu South Liloan Port Santander Cebu. The good part of going to Liloan Port, you can enjoy the beauty of Cebu (This will be my next Travel Topic). You can easily google the Fastcraft Schedule. Arriving in the Siquijor Island, you can either rent a motorcycle or you can do the Tricycle tour guide.

Cantabon Cave is almost 1Km long. Before going inside, of course there is the entrance fee for the cave guides and rent for the hat with flashlight. You should be flexible if you are up to the challenge. What to expect inside? Well expect that it is alive. So many white limestone/rocks formations (as you can see in the photos), mini waterfalls and cold fresh water with mini pool. You even drink it if you want. To reach to the very end, it will took about 2 to 3 hrs depends on the picture taking and swimming (Note: Avoid touching the white rocks, there is a big penalty).

So if you love adventure then Cantabon Cave is a must visit for you. Trust me you will really really enjoy the cave inside. The word “Wow” is expected.

Hello @RONEXDBONEX ,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, it must have been amazing! What did you enjoy the most?

The photos are breathtaking, what camera did you use?

I’ve been to many caves in Bulgaria, Morocco and France, but none of them had water inside.
