I have something an unknown issue because I have done some edits and add missing places with my account today but with in seconds it is updated the status that "Notapplied : google couldn’t verify your edits".
And I have used my moms account to add the same edits and added the same place today itself and after few minutes one of the place added get approoved and edit status remain pending (i know it takes time to update)
It seens your mum has a higher trust score than you! Joke aside, it could also be a random observation.
But if you have been violating guidelines in the past that can make the AI more sceptical about your edits. It is difficult to say. Checking the guidelines and making sure you understand every word is probably the best way forward.
I took a look at your public profile on Google Maps, @arunsr1393 .
You have been uploading the same photos several times. Please go to your photo contributions list and remove all duplicates.
Also, I noticed a few photos taken with a drone flying over an airport. Do you own a drone? Did you really get permission to fly your drone over an airport. The resolution of these photos hints that they might be stolen from a website. We can only upload photos we have taken ourselves. This is clearly mentioned in the guidelines.
Fixing such issues is important to protect your account. It could also explain some of your problems getting edits and additions approved.
Then how can I solve the issues. I have already deleted the copy of images and deleted the low quality images from the review. Next what I should do to get out of this issue to continue contributions. Please suggest me what are all the things I have to do.
Thank You for your l time to sort out me the issue.
It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.
Unfortunately there is not an option called “Please review my profile now”. So you need to proceed with making only high quality edits. Don’t repeat edits. Slowly over time your trust score will rebuild.
Bonus tip: only make single edits. That way you will learn which edits are quickly and easily approved and which ones you need to go easy on.
@MortenCopenhagen@Ok Thank You for your kindly advice. One of doubt. I will delete the multiple copy of images and arial photography also. If I done these things means I can resolve the issues or something else I have to do for getting out of my problem
I would not be worried for your edits, @arunsr1393 , as I think that if you do not remove Immediately all the stolen contents that you are adding just now in Google Maps, you will be suspended soon.
I am trying to be clear, just to avoid any misunderstanding.
According to the Maps User Contributed Content Policy "Contributions must be based on real experiences and information. Deliberately fake content, copied or stolen photos, off-topic reviews, defamatory language, personal attacks, and unnecessary or incorrect content are all in violation of our policy. If you see this behavior, please report it.
We reserve the right to disable user generated contributions for individual business profiles and business categories to prevent abuse. We also reserve the right to remove content that violates our policies or terms of service, and to suspend or delete abusive accounts."
@ErmesT Thanks for your advice. Surely I will delete the contents as eqrly as possible and remove the duplicate copies. But I tried to delete and rewrite my reviews, it says can’t edit now, please try again later.
Next what I have to do? I understood the error happen here.
Ya, I admit my faults and I will make it correct at the earliest. As you said I am correcting my faults. After all the corrections will my account get Ok do more myself.
I see you are trying to fix, even if some review still there @arunsr1393 , however I want to ask you: what is a review?
Is it a way to share your experience and opinion about a place, or a way to state the obvious? Can stating that a temple is located in a certain location or that an airport is an airport be considered a review? No, it is again a way to cheat the system, because in this way you are NOT helping others.
Contributing to Google Maps is NOT a way to earn points, but a way to help others.
Why are you a Local Guide, @arunsr1393 ? To really help or to earn points. Looking at your way to proceed, I bet it is the second.
Once everything will be fixed, we will respond to your second question, @arunsr1393
Here is another tip to explain the issues with your reviews.
You have posted 94 public reviews. I read all of them. And I needed to scroll down to #80 before your text reflects that you have been there. It is your review of RAK Track.
All the previous reviews are general statements that anyone could add. They are not helpful since you are not sharing your first hand experience. Very many of your reviews are just repeating the category or stating the obvious. Or it is a text that could be stolen/borrowed. Also, one-word reviews should be avoided.
Please remove all reviews that are not based on your own experience with the service or products. And make sure to always mention and explain your experience to prove you have actually been there and paid for a service of product.
Feel free to check some or all of my reviews. Link below. I don’t think you can find reviews that are not a reflection of me being a user or customer of the place. If you find any, please let me know.
When we take time to guide you in detail it is because you are not the only one making such reviews. So hopefully this thread can also help others understand better what a good review is.
I will correct all my reviews and let you know for further movement. I understood the mistake I have done. And would like to say sorry for all the guide seekers.
I think now you can see my reviews, I have clear almost problems you have shown me yesterday.
Like that I will correct the mistakes you shown me today also.
What @MortenCopenhagen is saying is that most of your reviews, well, are not reviews, but simply declarations of obvious things.
When you say that:
"Sivagiri mutt is the place where gurudeva samathi is situated. It is located in varkala. Every year festival took place from december 30,31 and January 1"
“Chochin international airport is one of the busiest airport in kerala located atNedumbassery.”
“Padmanbhapuram palace is located in thuckalay near nagercoil and it is related to padmanabha swamy temple. One of the oldest palace in india also. Once everyone should visit here.”
are you sharing your experience? Or are you simply declaring the obvious? Where is your experience about the place. Have you really been there?
In addition, I see that most of the “stolen” photos still on your profile, @arunsr1393
